I'm glad I didn't bail out on the volunteering because it was... to put it simply a great experience. Initially I was pretty nervous because I had two non-Malay speaking students under my care and a stranger who volunteered to drive us to the house that we were assigned to visit and give hand outs. But the chips had fallen where they may and it actually went pretty well. The funny part was, I didn't even realize I was sitting in a BMW sports until the dude kept apologizing about the back being too small and asking if I was ok because my knees were sticking out. He said something about it being a bachelor's car and so I asked him what car it was. It's just weird how our conversation began from the topic on cars. People, I am not a dude. I know nothing about cars. Anyway, the lady whose house we visited was really nice and her cat was HUGE. Like lion cub HUGE. I really sympathize with her, listening to what she had to tell. God willing, if I have the time I shall visit her again for the company. If you think you're in difficulty, there is someone out there who is in a greater difficulty than you. So thank you, God, for everything.
