Yessa! I finally got the package from the Art House Co-op yesterday. For my birthday, I decided to join the Sketchbook Project. I ordered the t-shirt too, which came first, and I thought I would never get my moleskin sketchbook but it must have gotten stuck in the mail or something 'cos I finally got it :D I'm still waiting for the poster though but that one could wait. I'm just glad I could start on the actual project. Together with the sketchbook, they've sent my official The Brooklyn Art Library card, which makes me want to go to NY all the more (which is not gonna happen anytime soon. Too bad). Anyway, speaking of packages, I also received two birthday gifts through snail mail. My lovely cousin, Shikin gave me a 365 Diary, in red (!!!) which is my fave color. I plan to start writing on it next year. Thank you so much!!! And my friend, Fik gave me a framed illustration he did with marker/pen. Thanks Fik! Well, that's all now, I'm going for a drive with my mum to gain some inspiration, and probably pick a fight with her during the drive but like Chuck Palahniuk said through his book Choke, "Art never comes from happiness." About that blue cardboard, all I can say is... the bald head with the hairs sticking out on the sides? MAJOR FAIL. I know it's the thought that counts, but at least put in a little more effort. Anyway, I know I never give you any birthday gifts so who am I to say anything right? BUT BUT I am thinking about buying you those Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Hehehe... If I had the money, I would.
