This is when Monday feels like Sunday.

Today was good. In the morning, brought my whole family out to Pulau Ubin. We went cycling. The crazy uphills, I nearly just want to give up, get off the bike and just throw myself onto the grass while my heart kept beating itself up against my rib cage like it wanted out. Of course we were all rewarded with the awesome downhill slopes and the steeper it was, the better. Everytime I went downhill (whilst ignoring the dismount and push sign) I imagined myself get thrown off my bike halfway, roll down the gravel road and then break my neck. I turned around and saw dudes in bike helmets, proper suits and expensive bikes. I look at myself in a flower print dress and rented bike with its loose chain and thought, I am going to die. So this is what crazy cheap thrills feels like. Hats off to my parents who made it through. Though the most exciting part of the whole trip personally was seeing the wild boars close up. You have no idea how much I've always wanted to see them every time I go to Pulau Ubin. Because I couldn't get a close enough shot of them using my phone camera without actually going close to them, I swear I thought the boar was going to head butt me. I saw this huge spider as well, and spotted a wild sea otter! Whoa. I am old and this form of exercise can last me the whole month. Reached home at 4 and totally chilled. My sister made no bake Oreo cheesecake, and I hung out most of the afternoon on the couch eating it and watching movies. Work tomorrow, people.
