So Saturday happened. It was a short and simple affair. Though it had a few embarrassing glitches like how I was caught playing with my phone sitting in the most inelegant manner on my bed when Darth's mum entered the room and then asking her, which hand should I present her with for the ring. I know... ultimate face palm. Overall, I thought it went pretty well. Thank my parents, my family, Darth's family, himself and above all, thank You, God. Thank You for always being there for me. Thank You for everything.
Below my gifts to him, which includes favorite red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese topping and chocolate ganache filling by this amazing local baker. She added the banners, which I liked a lot (though I personally thought the "Together Forever" was real corny).
Below are his gifts to me. My jaw dropped when I saw them. The presentation was perfect. Honestly, I was intimidated and scared when I saw them. I was really impressed and didn't expect it at all. Just like me, they only had less than two weeks to prepare. While mine, mine looked... sad. Darth gave me a red velvet cake too! Layered with butter cream, it was super yummy and moist, and very addictive. Darth's mum made the pulut kuning, which was decorated creatively. And his aunt made the log karipap. While his sister-in-law put together the chocolate basket with ribbons and fresh flowers. The ring presentation itself... speechless. I have got to learn from these creative people.
8 months, now engaged and still not Facebook official. Thank you, my favorite geek. I will follow you to Sim Lim Square and you can bring me to boring art museums. I will watch you make computers, you can accompany me shop for art supplies. Darth, shit just got serious (!!!) and I'm hoping we are in this together... right? Now if only you can smoke... less-er.
