The second day we woke up bright and early, and had breakfast at the hotel. They didn't serve anymore of the warm buns but they had waffles. After breakfast, we didn't set any fixed plans thus had no idea where to go. So I took a hold of the map and decided we check out a flea market along Lorong Kulit, which was so hard to find on the freaking map by the way. The place was something like Singapore's Sungei Road but way bigger with more loot. They had some sick vintage items, which I was so tempted to buy. In the end, I only bought a pair of socks and an old Casio handheld LCD game. Nothing truly necessary but all for less than 10RM.

We wanted to go to the Nature Reserve area next but it was raining heavily and weren't so stoked about walking on muddy and slippery tracks. We drove around for bit and after the rain subsided went to a place called the Khoo Kongsi Clan house. I'm a little unsure of what the place's really about but I kinda like the architecture, and heavy and intricate details on the walls, ceilings. doors and windows. All I can remember was a few scenes of Anna and the King were filmed there. After a tour of the place, we tried to take a family portrait outside the main building using self-timer but... failed. Uh, what else is new?

Outside, right around the corner from the entrance to the Khoo Kongsi Clan house, further down was the Acheen St Mosque. It looked exactly like the Khadijah Mosque in Singapore with the Egyptian style minaret. The mosque was surrounded with close-knitted houses, some desolated and abandoned. It felt just like being in a mini village. I totally envy the people here, they still get to live in their shop houses with their high ceilings and spacious living rooms. In the same area was the Islamic Museum, which was sadly closed on a Sunday! I honestly thought being in the tourism industry it should at least be open... on a Sunday. In the end, we randomly walked into an art gallery, which was okay. On the road again, we drove further north towards the Ferringhi beach area but we didn't go that far. We stopped at Gurney mall, which was freaking huge, we couldn't cover the whole place. We had lunch at Breeks. My sisters and I ordered Korean. I had the chicken bulgogi bimbimbap and my sister had the glass noodles. It was not as good as the one I had in Seoul but it wasn't that bad either. When my parents went for some foot reflexology we decided to catch a movie but there weren't any good show times so we ended up on massage chairs that cost us 5RM for 15 minutes each. After which we continued to walk around the mall but being non-shopaholics, we quickly became bored of window shopping and decided to buy some ice-cream and wait for our parents outside. Chilling did us good :D

In the evening, we were all pretty shagged. For our last stop, the Fort Cornwall lighthouse, my parents stayed in the van. We were hoping to get a glimpse of sunset but the weather was kinda horrible and the sky was cloudy. We couldn't make the horizon because it was misty. And also... we were on the wrong side of the cardinal point. When it was time to head back it was already pretty late. I think we dropped by a grocery store and bought cup noodles. Too tired to eat out and wasn't really hungry. Our camera battery was already flat and we were flat out. I also think I ended up sleeping with my face mask on.
