Eid adha was awesome. And what about it that I love so much was because it was effortless and simple and unpredictable. We didn't go to Padang for eid prayers. We went to a funeral in the morning. At my aunt's place my cousins and I helped make a spicy Javanese dessert, rojak parut, a recipe brought down by my paternal grandma. That was so much fun, I thought. Then in the evening of the first day of eid headed to Johor Bahru by public transport in our baju kurung and our heavy backpacks, where my maternal grandparents are currently residing with my uncle. Stayed over at his place for one night. And we watched Transformers 3 before heading to bed at 2 in the morning.
It was real good. Thank You God.
